Wallbox to Showcase the Capabilities of its latest Bidirectional Charger Live

After the success of its world’s first bidirectional charger for home, Quasar, Wallbox will showcase and offer live demonstrations of Quasar 2, its future proof bidirectional EV charger, designed to be compatible with next generation electric vehicles. Quasar 2 uses the CCS protocol, to ensure its compatibility with EV models launching in the European market.

Quasar 2 enables EV owners to save on home energy costs through vehicle-to-home V2H and vehicle-to-grid V2G functionality. Studies show that by utilizing bidirectional charging, users can save up to 1000€ annually*, live more sustainably, help balance mounting pressure on the grid and accelerate the transition to renewable energy.

Through the App users can automatically schedule charging sessions at times when energy rates are low or solar energy is available and discharge their car to power their home when rates are high which often coincides with peak energy times, Quasar 2 transforms an EV into a powerful energy storage device. On average, an EV can power a European home for over 3 days.

Users who have solar panel installations can also store excess energy in their EV during low usage periods and then harness this energy at another time, including peak periods, to reduce their reliance on the grid while allowing users to be more energy autonomous and live more sustainably.
