Wallbox N.V. (NYSE: WBX), a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management solutions, has announced a strategic partnership as preferred charger supplier to Carbon Leasing and Rentals Pty Ltd (CarBon), Australia’s first purely Electric Vehicle Leasing, Subscription & Rental company.

The partnership, which comes ahead of Fully Charged Live in Sydney this weekend, will see CarBon offer Wallbox’s range of AC Chargers to retail and commercialcustomers as part of its EV subscription, leasing & rental offering.

CarBon will provide novated leasing services to Wallbox Australia employees with no hidden fees or service costs, as well as offering Subscription and direct to customer EV options to Wallbox customers looking to make the transition to electric.

The collaboration between CarBon and Wallbox will simplify EV adoption for Australian companies by offering a unique business back-end at no additional price, allowing Fleet Managers and CPOs to monetise their EV Charging infrastructure, with OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) 1.6j compatible and integration via API (Application Programming Interface) enabled.

Phil Krok, National Sales & Energy Manager at CarBon said: “Our partnership with Wallbox means we can provide customers with an EV solution that includes fantastic battery hardware options, as well as education, guidance and support.

“With customers in over 100 countries worldwide, Wallbox is a global leader in EV charging solutions, and we look forward to developing our partnership as the market expands,” he said.

Reece Davis, Country Manager for Australia & New Zealand at Wallbox said Australia’s EV market was growing rapidly, with EVs on the road doubling from 2021 to 2022, and exponential growth expected following the federal government’s National EV Strategy and future commitments to Fuel Efficiency Standards.

“Fleet transition will play a crucial role in the acceleration of EV uptake in Australia and our partnership with CarBon will offer a full solution to simplify the process for this business segment.

“This is a great opportunity for the future of e-mobility in Australia and together with CarBon, we are aiming to help drive the growth of EV market here in Australia,” Mr Davis said.

Wallbox and CarBon will be presenting their full suite of EV solutions at Fully Charged Live in Sydney on March 11 & 12th 2023.
